Vermin Lord has build a new reinforcement

My rival opponent the vermin lord has added some new armies into his dirt rag rat clans.

Now wait a minute, wait a minute. That's not a skavan!!! LOL.
Well, the vermin lord sometime become a part of the order of the good guys. For a while perhaps.
This Dwarf Lord wield twin axes. Fine details on the axe itself, the green gem was particularity well brushed and highlighted to present a gem reflecting the light.

Longbeard regiment. An elite troops, the miniatures were finely painted to bring out many of the details on its amours and clothes. Most eye catching is the standard banner itself, which spot a opened book with its pages painted with some ancient scripts. Amazing innovation!!! I MUST NOT LOSE!!!

Merchant Princess Conversion

Now that is weird. Why a Princess?

Well, if we take a look at the army collection around the world. Its a male dominated army. Lords and heroes, all males. Boring. Yawn......

So, I decided to break with the tradition and go for a female lord.
The main challenge was there aren't many female miniatures around to fix my army theme. As usual I had to convert and create one to meet my requirement. The lack of female miniatures presented a huge challenge as female has slender body and smaller structure, most of the male miniature has much too big body frame for me to use.

So after more than a year of searching and brainstorming. Here is the final product.

Sword arm is slender enough to be used as a female arm. This sword arm is from the Gamezone miniature mournful knight model.

Female top half is from the Reaper Bone miniature Trista. The lower half mounted legs was the most difficult, can't seem to find the right legs for her for months. Until I finally found something that matched and that is..................the Bretonnia mounted squire. lol.

And that is what left of him here. Poor squire.....got chopped into half. Your sacrifice will not be forgotten.

And here is what left of Trista. Well, she still got her pretty face.

I want lots of armour appearance, so naturally I picked a Warhammer Empire armoured horse. But I didn't like that skeleton icon on horse head so I chopped it off and replaced with a Unicorn. And the result is....a unique one of its kind Merchant Princess

Last is her cape. Robbed from the plastic high elf prince model.

More than a year to make this. Heaven!!!
How did I survive?
LOL.

Working on Dogs of War armies

After years of preparation, finally I got the time to start building warhammer Dogs of War armies. Because it does not have any regular models, I have to source them one by one through multiple providers around the world. And the results is, it is made up of different brands of miniatures.

This group of armies experienced the most conversion compared to other miniatures.

New reigment of vampire counts completed.

These guys been sleeping around my boxes for a long time.
Now they are finally up and ready for eating. Ops...do skeleton eats?

These were obtained from Ebay and arrived in several incomplete bits and pieces, some of it were ruined by its previous owners. I patched them up with my own kits robbed from whatever leftover parts and sprue I had and managed to salvage it back.

Below were from another miniature series by Mantic. I obtained most of it in Ebay and as usual I patched it up nicely. This introduced more variety into my vampire army collections.
Last and final is the completion of the Vampire Lord.
This one is from the Gamezone miniatures, one of the mournful knights.

Well. That more or less completed my vampire count collections.

Vampire Counts Black Knights and Wight Lord completed

After almost 1 week of marathon, finally finished my black knights and wight lord. These guys has been sleeping inside my boxes for many years.

There are some differences. Not all of them are of real stuffs. Half of them are converted.
Shocking!? Where did they come from?
It was a results of months of brainstorming and innovation, and a little bit of bidding in Ebay. These guys were converted using all my leftover bits and pieces of sprue. Heads, shield arms from Grave Guards and Skeleton soldiers, horse heads from 5th edition skeleton command group. Horses from old 5th edition Bretonnia and high elf.  Some lances from 5th edition Bretonnia Knight. and horse neck were modified plastic pieces filed and mold on my own.

Somehow, it works. LOL.
And it blended into the original black knight pretty well.

Phew, so whats next?
Hmmm......

Reworking on miniatures - Dwarf collection

The previous colour theme I choose for my dwarf miniature armies collection was enchanted blue. Somehow it just doesn't feel correct. So, a rework require to make it feel correct.

Huh? Feeling?

For those who usually play with equations and formula. Arts is all about feelings, feel it right and make it right even it means taking a long time.

Previous colour theme
Reworking- base down the old blue. Followed with replacement with Glory Red. And then some touch up on metallic surface. And closed it off with basing of the grass pad on the base.

Looks better ah?

Took me 8 hours.
Lol.

Patience is virtue.

Greetings from Dreamzola

Greetings, after months of preparation. This blog about my artistic journey is finally up. Why it took so long. Well, been really busy and exploring a suitable blog to host my works before finally settled on Bloggers for its simple features.

It is not a masterpieces of an art master, but rather a platform to gather all the artistic works I have done through the years. I am born to do arts but I ended in Engineering.... ah well....the commitment to life.  I had explored several pursuits, writing stories, designing stuffs or building it, fueled by my power of imagination. Hmm, maybe too powerful.

I believe everyone should have some hobbies, it gives a purpose and a room to hone your passion away from those annoying life commitments. As this is just a personal blog, I won't devout too much time building it into some kind of an empire. LOL. I rather spend more time exploring my art works. Ops, as I was writing I just accidentally broken an arm off a miniature model, bad arm! Should have put that model a little further away from my keyboard. Ah well....

Starting off with this 'work in progress' miniature. One of its kind only in this world.

A merchant princess

Why its one of its kind only in the world? Because it was assembled and converted using different source of miniatures and material to make a unique model. This would not have been possible without my powerful seeds of imagination. Before it even appeared in reality, I have already imagined and visioned how I would designed and built this model.  And it took me one year to source for the right materials, added with numerous brainstorm, exploring and converting before finally come to this shape. Ah such commitment to such fine piece of art!
